Privacy policy

Your location on Wingman is always an airport, never a home address or a coordinate. Your device's location is used only on this device, to rank nearby airports, and is never uploaded or stored.

This is not anonymity. At a small field, your home airport combined with your certificates may identify you to people in that community — which is inherent to a directory. If you want more distance, raise your profile visibility or list a nearby larger field.

Messages are stored on Wingman's servers and may be reviewed when reported. Edited and deleted messages are kept privately for up to 90 days for safety review, then removed. If you delete your account, messages you've sent stay with the pilots you sent them to, shown as from a deleted pilot.

Messages in an activity chat are seen by the chat's members, and are kept and may be reviewed when reported.

Notifications in your bell are deleted after 90 days.

When you ask to join a flying activity, the pilot who posted it can see your profile while your request is open.

When you say you're going to an event, its organiser can see that you're going, view your profile, and message you.

If you turn on Wingman Pro alerts, Wingman stores the list of airports around your home airport that you chose, to tell you about new postings there. It never stores your location.

If you save a search, Wingman stores its filters and the airports around your home airport, to tell you when a matching pilot becomes available.

Wingman does not collect flight hours or aircraft types.
