To report a pilot or a posting, use Report in the app. It reaches us faster than email.

Getting started

How do I sign in?
Use Sign in with Apple, or Continue with email. With email, we send you a six-digit code. The code fills in automatically from Mail or Messages when it arrives.
What is my home airport used for?
Pilots nearby find you by your name and home airport. Your device's location is never shared. You can change it in Edit profile, once every 90 days.
What do the availability statuses mean?
Your status tells pilots nearby what you're looking for: Available to fly, Looking for a safety pilot, Looking to build time, Planning a flight, Attending a fly-in, or Not available. A status clears itself when it expires, and you show as Not available.
How do I join a flying activity?
Open the activity on the Fly tab and tap Ask to join. The pilot who posted it decides; once you're accepted, a chat opens for everyone who's in.

Your account

How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap Profile and settings (the person icon, top right) on Home, then Delete account. Step by step: Delete your account.
How do I change notifications?
Tap Profile and settings (the person icon, top right) on Home, then Notifications.
Can I use Wingman in dark mode?
Yes. Tap Profile and settings (the person icon, top right) on Home; under Appearance, choose System to follow your iPhone, or Light or Dark.

Safety and reporting

Are pilot credentials verified?
No. Certificates, ratings and endorsements on Wingman are self-reported and unverified. Confirm them directly with any pilot before you fly together.
How do I report a pilot or a posting?
Every pilot's profile, and every flying activity and event, has a report action: Report this pilot on a profile, Report this posting on an activity or event. Every report is read by a person and acted on within 48 hours.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap More, then Block this pilot, and confirm with Block. Blocking is mutual: neither of you can see the other. You can undo it from Blocked pilots in Profile and settings (the person icon, top right).

Location and privacy

Does Wingman know where I live?
No. Your location on Wingman is always an airport, never a home address or a coordinate. See the Privacy page.
