Terms and community guidelines

Wingman is a directory and coordination tool for general aviation pilots. It is not an air carrier, charter service, brokerage, flight planning tool, FAA navigation source, or dispatch system. Wingman does not arrange transportation and takes no part in any flight arranged through it.

Wingman introduces pilots who may then fly together in small aircraft.

Credentials on Wingman are self-reported and unverified. Confirm certificates, ratings, medical, and currency directly with any pilot before you fly with them.

The pilot in command is responsible for the safety and legality of every flight. Never let scheduling pressure or a stranger's expectations influence a go/no-go decision.

Wingman does not arrange transportation. Sharing a flight is a private arrangement between pilots. Wingman does not support payment or cost-sharing, and you must not use it to offer or solicit compensation for a flight.

Wingman does not tolerate objectionable content or behaviour. Harassment, hate speech, threats, illegal activity, and anything that endangers flight safety will not be tolerated.

Every pilot's profile, and every flying activity and event, has a Report action. If you see something that violates this standard, report it — every report is read by a person, never by an automated system, and acted on within 48 hours. We can't reply to every report individually.

You can also block a pilot directly from their profile. Blocking is mutual: neither of you can see the other on Wingman, apart from your own Blocked pilots list, where you can undo it. Blocking ends any follow between you, in both directions. Unblocking lifts the block and restores nothing else: neither follow comes back, and neither of you is notified. A private profile stays private until you both follow each other again.

Reporting and blocking are free for every pilot, and always will be.

Wingman is for pilots finding other pilots to fly with. Do not use an activity post, an event, a message, or any other part of Wingman to offer transportation, advertise available seats, or arrange payment for a flight. Posts that do will be removed.

Wingman lists FAA Safety Team seminars published on FAASafety.gov. Wingman isn't affiliated with the FAA; registration and any changes happen on FAASafety.gov.
